This is a recently completed repair of a WWII era Hanhart Chrongraph. These were often
used by German ME-109 fighter pilots 75+ years ago. They are hard to find replacements parts
for so when I service watches like these I often have to custom make parts. In this case the
Flyback Lever and Flyback Lever Spring were missing. The custom parts bring it all back to life.
"Conservation" is the approach I use with this type of vintage watch. While I can make things look brand new,
as much as possible, I like to retain some of the charm that age has given to the case.
Inside and out I like to make sure that anything I made for the watch
looked like it is original to the piece.
